Can I Donate to the Museum?

The Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library cannot accept items mailed to the Museum or dropped off without an appointment.

Can I donate to the Library?

Donate your new and gently used books, music, and movies. We often add your donations to our collection! Items we do not need for the collection are given to the used book sale to benefit new purchases for the Library collection.

Materials can be donated Tuesday through Friday 10 am - 5 pm.

Please do not place donations in the Library drop box. Materials in the drop box will be placed in the lost and found.​ New and gently used books and media can be dropped off at the front desk anytime during open hours.

Donations of more than two boxes must be scheduled with Library Staff.

Please note - The Library cannot accept the donation of the following items:

Dictionaries
Textbooks
Encyclopedias
Magazines
VHS tapes
Cassette tapes
Offensive or inaccurate content
Books and Media in poor condition
