    Join us in the Great Hall of the Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library October 9th at 2:00 pm for pumpkin panting for all ages. We will have small pumpkins and lots of paint to decorate them with.

    Presentation and discussion led by the Librarian to discuss and demystify the horror genre. Discuss how we all use the genre and what it means to our culture. Answering the question "Why Do We Tell Each Other Scary Stories?" might reveal more about ourselves than we think!

An underappreciated piece of Mohawk Valley history that has historically been overshadowed by more well-known struggles, the strike in Little Falls is a pivotal moment in labor, state, and regional history.

    Join us for a day full of great art, craft, and literature! A host of vendors with homemade and handmade goods will fill the Great Hall and downstairs. A great place to holiday shop! 

    Admission to the Arts and Crafts Fair is FREE. Discounted Museum Admission $5. 

    The Palatine Literary Society concession stand will have soups, sandwiches, and baked goods. All sales benefit an award to a graduating senior.

    Join us on November 21st and 22nd for an Introduction to Pastel class with Regional Gallery artist Phyllis Lapi from 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm. This two-day class is for people new to pastels or with some experience. Phyllis will introduce you to the medium and help you create a work of art to take home.

    For adults and teens, $45 per person. All supplies included.
